The J Weekly posted their photo of Rabbi Koas leading the Beth Ami contingent at the Sonoma County Pride Parade as their photo of the week.
We are all signed up for the Sonoma County 2025 Pride Parade on Saturday, May 31st, in Santa Rosa. It’s the 40th anniversary of the Pride Parade, and the gemstone for that is ruby, so Ruby Jubilee is the theme. Judy Kupfer is working on finding some ruby colored accessories and finery for us.
If you have a Pride t-shirt with the rainbow Beth Ami logo, or rainbow colored clothes, or ruby-colored clothes, come dressed and ready to walk the 5 block parade route down 4th Street from Brookwood. We’ll gather in Fremont Cancer Survivors’ Park near the oval dry fountain close to 5th Street at 9:45 a.m for a quick Shabbat morning service led by Rabbi Koas. Then we line up for the walk close to Brookwood and 4th. Our lineup number is 50, look for the number signs. 2025 Pride Parade Route Map and CBA meeting place. The front of the parade starts moving at 11 am.
There will also be services in the Beth Ami Sanctuary led by congregants. We hope we can all get together for lunch in the social hall afterwards and celebrate birthday number 102 with Edith Newman..
Bring sunscreen, walking shoes and water. Contact the office at office@bethamisr.org to tell us you’re coming; put Pride Parade in the subject line.
