I’ve decided to read from the novel “Queen Maker” by India Edghill in the place of the “Children’s Story.” It’s a novel based on the Biblical character of Michal, daughter of Saul.
One review of the book reads: “Bold yet precise, this novel weaves new threads of character and passion into the biblical narrative. The result is not merely a vivid retelling, but a profound reassessment of King David’s influence and the role of women within Israelite culture.”
The story is told from Queen Michal’s point of view. (I’m reading this in the Queen’s words). I think people will find this intriguing!
