Please join us for the Annual Sonoma County Yom Hashoah Commemoration on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 2:00-3:15 p.m. via Zoom. The focus of this year’s commemoration will be on local Holocaust survivors. It will include both live and pre-recorded elements featuring video footage of Hans Angress, Al and Susanne Batzdorff, and Lillian Judd. The event will also feature musical performances by Erica Wisner of Congregation Shomrei Torah, Congregation Ner Shalom’s Good Shabbos Band, and Cantorial Soloist Fredi Bloom. There will also be a candle lighting ceremony honoring Jewish survivors, other victims of the Holocaust, and those targeted by genocide.
To attend the commemoration on April 11th on Zoom, you need to register no later than April 8th. The Zoom link will be sent to those who registered shortly before the actual event. Please note that you MUST REGISTER in order to attend and get the Zoom link.
Members of our community are welcome to submit names of loved ones who were victims of the Shoah to be included in the Memorial Book, which will be displayed on screen during the commemoration and available as a PDF document on the Jewish Community Center website. Use this link to submit names. The deadline for submissions is March 18th!
