Wondering how to respond to negative comments about Israel? You know they’re untrue but in the emotion of the moment it’s hard to find the words to effectively tell Israel’s side of the story. Here’s a great opportunity to learn how to defend Israel (no boxing gloves required) and have a companionable lunch with fellow Beth Ami members.
After services (9:30-12:30) Saturday morning, October 11, which you’re welcome to attend, we’ll have a dairy potluck lunch and around 1 pm Jonathan Carey will present. He’s a lively and engaging speaker with a wealth of information to share.Carey founded BlueStar, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering the next generation of Israel advocates. BlueStar distributes free resources to college campuses, and creates online and other campaigns to spread information.
This program provided by the Congregation Beth Ami’s Israel Committee and is supported by a Ma’alot Grant for Israel Education and Advocacy, a partnership of United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and Nefesh B’Nefesh and is co-sponsored by the Sonoma County Israel Committee. This program is free. If you wish to make a donation to support our other Israel programming, please go to our website after Shabbat. All contributions are gratefully accepted.
