Dancers, I’m just adding this update.. we will be taking a break until the end of September.I hope everyone manages to dance with springy knees and no Covid. We keep hoping that we will no longer have to dance with masks, but so far everybody is simply getting better at doing that.

Anyway, take care
Leanne

Dancers, I’m just adding a reminder that we are not dancing this Wednesday but next, the 27th. I have not only been reading in the news about increased Covid cases, I’ve been hearing from quite a few friends who have gotten quite sick, and I’ve been getting frequent notices of possible exposures sent by various groups I get emails from. The dance groups I know about are requiring N95 and KN95 type masks, so that is what we will have to do. Those masks seem to do the job pretty well. At the Kensington dance, somebody came down with Covid that night, but through the following week there were no other cases among those dancers. I have the zoom set up and it has been working well with Beth Ami’s Wifi. If you want to donate online to Beth Ami rather than leave a donation in person to help with lights and Wifi etc. the link is https://bethamisr.org/giving/

stay well!
Leanne

I’m getting into some scheduled camping trips so dates are irregular, and I’ll be gone mid-August to mid September.
The zoom has been stable but if I teach I have to be more careful of where I stand since i don’t have a mic on me. The sound of the music is shared from the computer and should be good for everyone. The small number of people dancing in person elected to not wear masks but  to not hold hands and to maintain distance. Most groups are dancing with masks as far as I can see. Our group is particularly small, and at Beth Ami services some fully vaccinated people don’t wear masks, so i am going by the congregation’s statement. We do use fans and keep doors and windows open. Here are CBA SAFETY PROTOCOLS
If you are at risk, please wear a mask inside.  Mask are mandatory for some events.
Please have proof of vaccination or if unvaccinated have proof of a recent (72 hours)  COVID test results available.
If you have any cold, flu or COVID symptoms do not enter.
Please leave all doors and windows open for maximum ventilation.
Please stay socially distanced and ask before you touch.
Use sanitizer and wash hands frequently.Congregation Beth Ami
