We had a nice meeting on Tuesday after we saw the movie , All God’s Children at the Jewish film festival. Those attending: Rabbi Miller, Judi, Marlene ,Andy, Susan and lyla. The movie is a documentary about a
5 year collaboration between a Jewish Synagogue and Black Baptist Church in Brooklyn and their attempt to heal racism and anti semitism and combat the raising racial and ethnic tension in their communities. We had a thoughtful conversation. I am hoping we can show the movie at Beth Ami. More to follow

Update from Rice collection for food bank. We collected 122 pounds. Great job
Allison Goodwin spoke at services and lunch last Shabbat. She had lots of pertinent info about the food bank and issues they are facing as the result of massive cuts in protein, eggs and dairy from the government.
The item that will be specifically collected in August will be protein.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 8 th. I am pretty sure that is another film so we will meet after the showing. Details to come

It is summer and many members are traveling. Safe and happy travels to all.
A personal note, we are attending our grandson’s graduation from Davis this weekend. Very exciting as he was also accepted into the school of veterinary at Davis for the fall.
