I’m excited to report that our hardy band of crafters has completed ten teddy bears, which are flying off to Israel as we speak, to bring comfort to Israeli children impacted by the war. Each knitter and crocheter is hard at work on another bear. And that whirring sound you hear is the sewing experts at their machines.
Thanks to all our dedicated crafters and donors, ten more teddy bears have flown off to hearten and heal Israeli children.

You can still participate in this ongoing effort. Find out how by emailing Esther: finishingtouches18@gmail.com

1st meeting

Dear fellow bear-makers,
To those of you who were at today’s meeting, it was lovely seeing/meeting you and laughing and creating together.
To those who couldn’t make it today, I do hope you can make it next month. If you’d like to get started at home and need the pattern, let me know and I’ll email it to you.
I’m hoping that most of us can bring our finished (or almost-finished) bears to the January meeting. If you have questions or run into problems, feel free to give me a call.

Esther

Progress report 1:

It’s not too late to join us. If you knit, crochet, or sew, you too can make teddy bears. If not, you can be part of the effort by donating to cover shipping costs. Many thanks to the all the crafters and donors who have made this effort a reality. For details, patterns, and information on our next meeting (they’re full of laughter and camaraderie and help), please contact Esther at finishingtouches18@gmail.com
Progress report 2:

Hi friends…crafters…nimble needlers…

Today’s meeting was fun, full of laughter as always, and so productive. We all made progress on our bears, and people turned in EIGHT finished bears! Thanks so much!I’ll be collecting bears through Thursday, and shipping this Friday the 14th. If you finish a bear after that, please bring it to the next meeting.Hope to see you at the March meetings. Those of you who couldn’t make it today—we missed you.In the meantime… keep in touch and keep those needles busy. I’m so glad you’re part of this effort to hearten and heal the children.
