Hope everyone is feeling well and Shabbat Shalom
On Tuesday, Judi, Susan, Andy, and Leanne did a litter pick up around Howarth Park. Actually, the park is pretty clean so we spent time picking up lots of smaller pieces. We had a good time and it was nice to have an activity. We will do it again.
Michelle joined us for lunch.

The Palms:
We will make chili next month as Judi stopped by the store and containers and lids were available. Thanks Judi.
The next Palms delivery will be Wednesday, August 17 th. Please let me know what you can bring so we can plan accordingly.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, Aug.9 th at 12:00 at Howarth Park. (Everyone seems to enjoy the location.). Please bring your own lunch. Judi will have containers and lids. please let her know how many you want so she can prepare in advance. Thanks

On Thursday, Nancy, Andy and I wrote postcards at Frieda’s Cafe from 10:00- 12:00. It is a really fun cafe, outdoors with many people writing to different states to get out the vote. This is on going, every Thursday. I will try to go as often as I can. Makes for good community and SO IMPORTANT!

This Saturday at Montgomery Village from 2:00-5:00 there is a fundraiser for the city of Cherkasy in the Ukraine. Funds to help assemble first aid kits. I think mostly art for sale.

On next Friday, June 22 nd at 6:00 the Racial and Social Justice committee is having a special Shabbat service and oneg in support of the Ukrainian people. There will be music , dancing and light refreshments. The service will be in the sanctuary and oneg in the patio.
This is a well planned event and it should be very inspirational. I hope that many of you can make it. Thanks to Carol and the committee for preparing the event. There is more info in the cybershul.

That’s it for now, take care and hope to see many of you soon,
Lyla
