Our CBA book group will meet on Sunday, Feb. 13, at my home, probably outside, weather permitting. Each participant will speak 5-10 min. about a book of their own choosing. On Sunday, Feb. 27, we will discuss Helene Wecker’s THE HIDDEN PALACE. “In 2013, Pleasanton author Helene Wecker published her first novel, “The Golem and the Jinni,” about an unlikely friendship between two magical creatures who meet in New York City in 1899. “The Hidden Palace” — a sequel eight years in the making — picks up the story of Chava, a Polish golem, and Ahmad, a Syrian jinni (or genie), in the years leading up to World War I.” RSVP to Linda 1-707-544-4532 for times, to borrow a library book, or other comments.
