Adding more sweetness to our celebration of the High Holy Days: Honey cake is one of our special traditions for Rosh Hashanah and we want to have plenty at Beth Ami for the holiday season from Rosh Hashanah through Sukkot. If you want to bake a loaf or two and bring it to the synagogue by Sunday morning, September 13, please make arrangements by contacting Janet or Jeffrey Stein-Larson at JSL2602@sonic.net or calling them at 707-539-6612. Because many Yom Tov dinners are meat, we are requesting that that your recipe be pareve and that you follow the Food and Pot-luck guidelines.

No serving plates are necessary and please, do not cut your cake, we will do it for you. Just wrap the cake and and label it whether it has any nut and/or nut products or is nut and/or nut-product free.

Thank you ~ J&J

p.s. don’t forget the Mashgiach class August 23!
